Derived from Ayla’s Basque heritage, the name Zuetani is a beautiful phrase meaning “You and Me.” Breaking it down further, “Zu” (you), “Eta” (and), and “Ni” (me) reflect the spirit of shared humanity and collective responsibility.
This ethos encapsulates our belief that travel is not just a personal journey but a shared experience. A connection with the land, the people, and the unseen threads that unite us all.

How It All Began – A Journey of Connection
In 2018, Ayla, one of our co-founders, envisioned a new paradigm. A brand that would bridge cultures, elevate sustainability, and transform consumer habits from mindless consumption to intentional living. With a background in psychology, cultural studies, and global exploration, Ayla dreamed of crafting a platform that celebrated the interconnectedness of people, places, and the planet.
The vision remained dormant until 2023 when she met Codey, a creative entrepreneur driven by a relentless curiosity for exploration and storytelling. Together, their shared values and complementary skills ignited Zuetani into life. Starting with a single question.
“How can we make travel a force for good?” The journey evolved into a mission to inspire responsible and connected travel experiences.
